Ghana
Ghana is situated on West Africa along the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean. Some medical electives are based within the town of Takoradi approximately a four hour drive along the coast in the direction of the capital, Accra. If you’ve never been to Africa previously, Ghana is perfect for your first visit. In addition to the place of your choice make sure you take advantage of the breathtaking coastline, lush jungles, as well as the lively Ghanaian culture.

Kakum National Park – Trek through the forest canopy and spot wildlife from treetops and if you’re daring enough, you can spend the night in the treehouse

Tanzania
Tanzania is an East African country on the Indian Ocean. Dar es Salaam is where our Tanzanian programme is based; an cosmopolitan city that is the perfect jumping off point to explore the country. Outside of the city, you’ll be given a wide range of unique travel experiences. From white-sand beaches that look like postcards and some of the breathtaking safari parks anywhere in the world.

Zanzibar is just an hour away from Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar’s breathtaking beaches and crystal-clear waters are a mecca for travelers, divers, and revelers.
Safari Safari Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Mikumi – what a choice! All members of the ‘Big 5’ can be found at these various park and reserve. It is also possible to see huge herds wildebeest as they traverse the plains of the park during their annual migration
Mount Kilimanjaro – The highest mountain in Africa. A guided trek up to the summit takes between 4-7 days. If you have the time to add this to the beginning or end of your trip this is an adventure that should not be missed.
